Practical Barn Restoration Workshop

The Indiana Barn Foundation's all-day Practical Restoration workshop was held on September 28. Led by master timber framer, Rick Collins of Trillium Dell/Firmitas, the hands-on workshop addressed common issues with older timber-framed barns and focused on tie beam and mortise and tenon failures. Attendees learned the causes for such failures and best practices for their repair. The workshop was held at a privately-owned barn in Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana.

The IBF plans to host more workshop such as this in the future.
